Becoming The Archetype: 'Dichotomy' release date announced; new webisode available

Atlanta, Georgia-based metallers Becoming The Archetype recently entered a Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada studio with producer Devin Townsend (Strapping Young Lad, Lamb Of God, Darkest Hour) to begin recording their third album. Entitled "Dichotomy", the Cd will be released on November 25 via Solid State Records.

The fourth in a series of webisodes covering the recording process for "Dichotomy" can be viewed below. The latest clip features guitar solos and leads as well as very raw vocals and Devin showcasing his approval and/or disapproval of the takes.

Becoming The Archetype recently parted ways with lead guitarist Alex Kenis and replaced him with Jon Star.

Becoming The Archetype's second album, "The Physics of Fire", was released in Europe in June 2007 via Century Media Records. The U.s. release was handled by Solid State Records. The Cd was produced by Rob Caggiano (Bleeding Through, Cradle Of Filth, Anthrax).
